i’ve been updating my flickr with photos i’ve completely overlooked. they have been floating from my computer and my external hard drive for almost a year now.
this video was recorded at 1000 frames per second, and totally made my day. i’ve been fighting off my allergies for the past few days, but today, i’ve been really sick. everyone told me i would get allergies after living in austin for a few years, but i never believed them. well, here i am with itchy eyes and a congested head wondering why i never had so much trouble in fort worth.

Last sunday i went for a hike at enchanted rock to escape the city. i made my way up to the northern entrance to the Moss Lake Campground where i cooked dinner and watched the sun set. The two mile hike back to my car was amazing because the quarter moon was so bright i didn’t need my headlamp. The stars and moon peered down through the thin high altitude clouds and i realized i hadn’t looked at the sky in a while, at least not at night. Alana and i are heading out to West Texas this weekend and i plan to attend one of the McDonald Observatory’s Star Parties.
yellowtrenchcoat is currently having weekly meetings (that could also be called weekly cultural field trips). if you are in austin and want to create a little something something that can be published online, feel free to come out.
oh, and i finally posted a couple photos on my flickr from the nike human race that i was so excited about (although i don’t run or like running).
