About

Me in Matsue

I’ve been writing online for over ten years and, although I don’t understand it and am a bit embarrassed by it, I enjoy doing so. When I’m not in New York, Austin and Fort Worth, I travel across the country, and around the world, 2-3 months out of the year taking photos along the way. My interests allow me to say that I am a photographer, web nerd, cyclist, backpacker, traveler, and writer.

After spending six months in New York, I am back working for The University of Texas System in Austin, TX.

I hope to move back to New York in the fall.

Odd little facts about me
I have driven the entire length of US Interstate 10.
I have driven all of I-35 from Duluth, MN to San Antonio, TX.
Flying absolutely terrifies me
I flew 18 times in 2008.
4 of those flights were over 11 hours.
1 of those flights was over 14 hours.
In all, total around 80 hours of flying time while sitting in a state of panic.
